    Kyle is working for Brownstone, the cultural magazine published by New York University.

  • 10/1/08 Telling Our Stories

    Kyle's work has been included in Telling Our Stories, a travelling photo exhibit created by the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources. The exhibit is making 34 stops from October 2008 through December 2009.

  • 6/2/08 First Prize - Our State Magazine Photo Contest

    Kyle's photograph of The Cape Fear Memorial Bridge has taken first prize in this year's Our State (North Carolina) Magazine photo contest. MORE

  • 3/28/08 WHQR Gallery Show Opening

    Kyle's first gallery showing opened in downtown Wilmington, NC, and continues through April 18th. The opening night reception included a concert by the band Cluster Funk. MORE

  • 10/12/07 First Prize - Get Framed Art Contest

    Won First Prize in the annual Wilmington NC Star News Get Framed art contest. MORE

  • 9/10/07 Finalist - Get Framed Art Contest

    In June Kyle was named a finalist in the annual Wilmington NC Star News Get Framed art contest. Over the summer, he attended several workshops for the finalists on topics related to building a career as an artist. The workshops were presented by local artists and gallery owners. In August and September, my work was part of the Get Framed exhibit that travelled throughout the Wilmington area. MORE

  • 4/13/07 National History Day State Competition

    Participated in the statewide National History Day competition held at the Museum of History in Raleigh, NC. Presented the film Wilmington Race Riots: Triumph and Tragedy and answered questions from a panel of judges.

  • 3/10/07 Wilmington Race Riots of 1898

    Kyle wrote and directed a documentary film, Wilmington Race Riots: Triumph and Tragedy. It tells the story of the violent overthrow of the Wilmington local government in 1898. The film was entered in the regional competition for National History Day, where it won the first place prize.
